✦ The human behind it

I'm Patricia — the person behind the Gifted Procrastinator.

Gifted at starting. World-class at postponing the finish. So I stopped waiting for motivation and started building — small tools, systems, the occasional app — that drag my half-baked ideas over the line. Sometimes with AI, sometimes by hand. This site is the logbook: you get the finished method, minus the three days I spent stuck.

Patricia, who runs Gifted Procrastinator

So who's actually writing this?

Business analyst by trade — fifteen years turning tangled bank processes into things that actually work, now building the software banks run on. (Yes, I see the pattern.) Somewhere in there I picked up three part-time master's degrees — law, then marketing, now computer science with AI at Northumbria — mostly because I physically cannot leave a shiny topic alone.

Here's what that means for you: I don't do "just start." I think a build all the way through before I touch a keyboard — the unglamorous planning that stops you rage-quitting in hour two. And I'm no career developer, but I'm not helpless in the code either: I've hand-built a PHP site with a lot of googling and stubbornness. These days I let tools take the grunt work so I can move faster — but the plan is mine, and that's the part you can copy. You don't need to be an engineer. You need a plan and the nerve to try.

The brain that wants everything at once, yesterday, isn't a bug here — it's the entire editorial strategy.
